方中重用熟地黄，滋阴补肾，填精益髓，为君药。山萸肉补养肝肾，并能涩精；山药补益脾阴，亦能固精，共为臣药。三药相配，滋养肝脾肾，称为“三补”。但熟地黄的用量是山萸肉与山药两味之和，故以补肾阴为主，补其不足以治本。配伍泽泻利湿泄浊，并防熟地黄之滋腻恋邪；牡丹皮清泄相火，并制山萸肉之温涩；茯苓淡渗脾湿，并助山药之健运。三药为“三泻”，渗湿浊，清虚热，平其偏胜以治标，均为佐药。六味合用，三补三泻，其中补药用量重于“泻药”，是以补为主；肝脾肾三阴并补，以补肾阴为主，这是本方的配伍特点。 服用方法: 120粒 – 一天吃三次一次8粒 360粒 – 一天吃两次一次30粒 大蜜丸- 一次一丸, 一日两次
