养阴生津，止渴除烦，益气和中。用于治疗因胰岛功能减退而引起的物质代谢、碳水化合物代谢紊乱，血糖升高之糖尿病(亦称消渴症)，肺胃肾阴亏损，热病后期。
口服。一次6克，一日4次；七岁以上小儿一次3克，三至七岁小儿一次2克。
